Briana, Virginia R. (Shea) “Ginny” of Quincy, died March 7, 2016.  

Ginny was one of the first meter maids in Boston during the 60’s and retired after more than 20 years. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved gathering together for the holidays, particularly Christmas. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas for the shows and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. Ginny was a sweet, gentle, and loving woman. She was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of the late John Hartling II and James “Jimmy B.” “Sonny” Briana. Loving mother of John G. Hartling, III of Manchester, NH, Susan Booth of Grafton, and Brian Hartling of Springfield. Sister of the late John Shea, Gertrude Carlson, Mary Sweeney, and Patty Loughman. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ginny may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
