Virginia M. (Mcgurr) Trabish

Mrs. Virginia M. Trabish (McGurr) of Weymouth, passed away in her home, holding her daughter and granddaughter’s hand, surrounded by her loving family on May 2, 2024.  She was 86.

Ginny was an avid reader, spending many days & nights with her nose in a book.

Ginny, the coupon queen, spent countless hours searching for coupons, delegating others to do so, and going as far as jumping into the dump with her best friend of 78 years, Jane Carty.

When she wasn’t searching for a deal, she was trying her luck at the casino, playing bingo. Spending her inheritance on salt and pepper shakers, 2,000 wasn’t enough.

Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Trabish.

Loving mother of Phyllis Scanlon and her husband, John, of Medfield, Virginia Gowen and her husband, Sean, of Braintree, Roberta Trabish of Weymouth and the late Jeanne Bogan.

Sister of the late Frances MacPherson.

Grandmother of Jennifer, Emma, Molly, Eli, Zachary, and Katherine. Great Grandmother of Matthew,Logan, and Amelia Jean.

Aunt of Roger, Wayne, Fran and Lisa.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, May 6th from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth
