Lysakowski, Virginia M. (Daley) of Quincy, formerly of S. Boston, died January 11, 2017.
Virginia enjoyed her many years at New England Telephone as a switchboard operator and secretary prior to raising her family. She took such great pride in being a mother and her family was everything to her. After marrying her husband Henry, she became part of the much larger Lysakowski family and they welcomed her with open arms. Being an only child herself, she assimilated quite nicely into a large and fun-loving group. Virginia volunteered with the S. Boston USO during World War II and enjoyed spending time with the AMVETS/VFW chapters in Weymouth. She enjoyed singing and dancing and will be remembered for her very welcoming nature.
Beloved wife of the late Henry W. Lysakowski. Loving mother of Carol “Liza” Stevens and her husband George of Alton Bay, NH, Steven Lysakowski and his wife Michelle of Dorchester, and the late Mark Lysakowski. Cherished “Grammie” to Christopher, George III, and Michael Stevens, Katie Gosselin, Mark, Anna, and Alex Lysakowski.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hour on Tuesday from 9:00-10:00 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will follow in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
Donations in memory of Virginia may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
