Virginia M. Likas

Virginia M. Likas (Reed) of Hingham (where she lived at the Lincoln School Apartments), formerly of South Boston, died February 14, 2016 at Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center. She was 92.

Virginia worked for the Telephone Company for 35 years. She enjoyed spending summers at the family home in Kennebunkport, Maine. Her family was the focus of her life.

She was the wife of the late Edward D. Likas. Loving mother of Virginia Freeman of Weymouth, Edward “Bud” Likas of Dedham, the late David Likas and the late Paula Russo. Cherished grandmother of Paul, Justin, Michelle, Jeffrey, Julie, Danielle, Ricky and great grandchildren Keegan and Ryan. Sister of the late Bertha Zammarchi, Louis “Bud” Reed, Walter “Rudy” Reed, James “Jimmy” Reed, Edwin Reed and Thomas Reed. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 9-10:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.) followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Virginia may be made to Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118.
