Virginia M. Kalaghan

Virginia M. Kalaghan, of Weymouth, died September 9, 2018 at the age of 91.

Ginny worked as a fourth grade teacher in the Weymouth School system for many years. Naturally generous, Ginny was always helping those in need. She was especially active with Dorothy Day Catholic Charity work. Ginny enjoyed traveling and had an interest in archeology. She enjoyed dancing, laughing and spending time with family and friends.

Sister of Gertrude Ring of Plymouth, Paul Kalaghan and wife Kathryn of Hingham, and the late Louise Frederick and husband Vito, Joseph, and Charles Kalaghan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad St., Weymouth on Monday, Sept. 17th at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Virginia may be made to Catholic Charities of Boston, 51 Sleeper St., Boston, MA 02210.
