Virginia M. Hoar

Virginia (Ginny) went peacefully home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2014. Ginny was born in Boston February 1, 1955. She graduated from the Quincy High School Culinary Arts Program, attended workshops in both Quincy & Weymouth, and worked at the movie theater in Quincy Center.

Ginny led an very active life, traveling the world with her mother, Geraldine.

She lived in Hingham, under the auspices of “Road to Responsibility,”  before moving to Pembroke.

Ginny was pre-deceased by her father James F. Hoar. She leaves behind her mother, Geraldine Hoar, of Quincy, Sisters Jerry Marcel of Weymouth, Pat Roach and husband Bill of Wellfleet, Brothers, James P. Hoar and wife Dianne of Yarmouthport and Fr. Thomas F. Hoar, S.S.E. of St. Edmund’s Retreat at Enders Island, Mystic Ct. and a large extended family of nieces and nephews Ginny also leaves wonderful caretakers at the “Road to Responsibility” house in Pembroke and many friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Friday morning from 9:30 -10:30am in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy,  Friday at 11am. Burial in Pine HIll Cemetery, Quincy.
