Virginia M. Donovan

Donovan, Virginia M. (Donnelly) of Quincy, died December 25, 2014.

The beloved wife of the late Gerald L. Donovan. Loving mother of  Gerry Donovan and his wife Carol of Holbrook, the late Maureen Ennis and her husband Bob of Pembroke, Virginia O’Riordan  and her husband Pat of Braintree, Carol Clancy and her husband Dan of Canton and  Charlie Donovan and his wife Julie of Braintree. Sister of  Lorraine Noland of Weymouth and Albert Donnelly of Braintree and the late Kenneth Donnelly, Muriel Regan, Joseph “Merlin” Donnelly and Freda Higgins. Virginia is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Virginia worked for the Quincy Public Schools for many years. She enjoyed movies, history, reading  and she loved to dance. Her faith and her family were the foundation of all that was truly important to her. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving and cherished mother, grandmother and friend. Her family is grateful for all the blessings she brought into their lives, she will be sadly missed.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at Wednesday at 9:45 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
