Virginia M. Coffey

Coffey, Virginia M. (White) of North Quincy, passed away October 11, 2011, she was 90. The beloved wife of the late Timothy M. Coffey. Loving Mother of Virginia M. Drury of Hanover, Joseph E. Coffey and his wife Margie of Rockland and David P. Coffey of North Quincy. Daughter of the late Thomas E. and Gertrude M. White. Sister of the late Marion G. Kelly. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Virginia was born and raised in Dorchester. She worked for Quincy Saving Bank for more than 20 years in customer service. An avid reader and sports fan, she also enjoyed sewing. Virginia will be remembered for her outstanding holiday dinners which were the foundation of many treasured family memories. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 5-8 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
