Virginia Traverse Hall

HALL, Virginia (Traverse) of North Weymouth passed away peacefully April 27, 2014 at home.  She was 94 years old.

Born on December 19, 1919, to Mabel and John Traverse,  Virginia or “Ginny” as she was affectionately known,  was the beloved wife of 62 wonderful years of the late Warren F. Hall, Jr. 

Virginia worked for the United States government for over 35 years.  Initially with the Army Corps of Engineers, she took pride in finding housing for people in the greater Boston area.  She ultimately retired from the Internal revenue Service where she worked in forensics, a position she held for over 15 years.  After her retirement, her and her husband spent over 20 years in their winter home in Puerto Rico.  Virginia enjoyed flowers, birds, all forms of animals, and was a world traveler, having taken 122 cruises with her late husband throughout the Atlantic and Mediterranean seas.  She was of the Episcopal faith.

Virginia leaves behind her loving sister in law, Caroline Hall Sponsler of Tampa, Florida along with her nephew, Warren and wife Jeanine of Tampa, along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 5-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in The Church of the Holy Nativity, at 10:30 AM, Rev. Fr. Harry Birkenhead, officiating. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
