Virginia D. Vilar

Vilar, Virginia D. of Braintree, passed away on November 3, 2023. She was 93.

Born in Cambridge in 1930, she was the daughter to the late Ramon and Julia (Almeida) Vilar.

Virginia was an avid reader who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed vacationing, especially to Bermuda, Portugal, and New Hampshire. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Virginia will be missed by all who knew her.

Loving aunt to Robert Souza and his wife Arlene of CO, Edward Souza and his wife Sherrie of Brockton, Cherylann Popp and her husband Stephen of Weymouth, Brenda Sheridan of E. Bridgewater, and Bernadette Tricomi and her husband Robert of E. Bridgewater. Predeceased by her siblings, the late Ramon Vilar, the late Victoria Souza, the late Laura Gomes, the late Olga Stone.  Also survived by many great and great- great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 5-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.
