Connors, Virginia A. (Griffin) of Quincy, passed away on Monday November 12, 2012 surrounded by her family, she was 89 years old. She married the late Paul C. Connors, BFD on June 6, 1946 and was the mother of five children, Paula Cardinal and her husband Mike of Pembroke, Charles Connors and his wife Gini of Milton, Richard Connors and his wife Gina of Bridgewater, Janet Hines and her husband Steve of Marshfield and Tricia Vigeant and her late husband Ed of Whitman. Virginia is also the cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Dorothy Johanson, Irene Stevens, Marge Conlon and Gerard & Robert Griffin. Born on Nov. 26, 1922 in Boston to Peter & Bridget (Clancy) Griffin. Virginia graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Roxbury and worked for the City of Boston’s Licensing Department from 1973 until she retired in 1988. She was a caring and devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend. She was a source of support for those around her; a role model of faith and strength. She will be missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Virginia may be made to JDRF 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, NY, NY 10004.
