Virginia Louise Wakelin ( Farley)

Virginia Louise (Farley) Wakelin, 74, of Braintree, Ma. passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2025 at the John Scott House in Braintree, Ma. Born in Brockton in 1950, Virginia "Ginger" was the middle child born to James G. Farley and Rachel (Keech) Farley. Virginia worked a variety of roles, but retired from a position buying and selling medical equipment, where she took pride in trying to find the best deals on the equipment she was purchasing.

When not at work, Virginia's biggest role was caring for her family. She spent much of her time supporting the needs of her extended family, especially her husband and children and trying to ensure their happiness and success. Her smile was brightest when with her family. Religion was also a big part of her life and she taught religious education for many years to share her spirituality. She enjoyed caring for three Shitzu puppies with her husband over the years.

Virginia is predeceased by her loving husband Bruce Wakelin and son Timothy Wakelin. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Nasanofsky and her husband Allan and her grandchildren Ace Nasanofsky, David Nasanofsky, and Danni Lynn Caron. Virginia leaves behind her sister Mary McAuley and her husband Robert; her brother James Farley and his wife the late Marcia Farley, brother Kenneth Farley and his wife Mary and sister Lorraine Emmons and husband Charley. She is predeceased in life by her siblings Kathy Williams, Martin Farley and his surviving spouse Karen. She was also loved by her brothers and sister in law Dianne Mahoney, Steven and Sue Wakelin, Mark Wakelin, and the late Robert Wakelin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4/14/2025 from 10-11:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday 4/14/2025 at 11:30 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial in New Westwood Cemetery, 22 Church St, Westwood Ma. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Virgina may be made to John Scott House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center ( 233 Middle St, Braintree, MA 02184)
