Viola “Jean” Donovan

Donovan, Viola “Jean” (Harrington) of Quincy, formerly of Brighton, passed away March 1, 2017.

Viola was born in Indiana. She worked for many years as an EKG Technician at Brighton Marine Hospital. She was an avid Bingo player and loved to color. Viola will be remembered for her quick wit and sharp tongue. She will be missed by all, but never forgotten.

Dear wife to the late William Donovan. Beloved mother to Mark Donovan and his girlfriend Susan Hardy of Plymouth, and the late Mary Gethin, Cheryl Grigas, William “Mike” Donovan, and Danny Donovan. Caring mother-in-law of Mike Gethin of Quincy. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Viola may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
