Vini St. Pierre

Vini St. Pierre, 78, of Mashpee, died July 24, 2013 after a brief illness. 

Vini was born and raised in Taunton, MA.  He graduated from Boston College in 1956 where he was a football player and later became a member of the coaching staff.  Early in his career, Vini entered the restaurant industry as one of the first owners of the Burger King franchise in and around Boston and the South Shore.  He later became the owner of the well known “Great Escape” in Weymouth.  He was also an active member and former President of the Weymouth Rotary Club.  Vini later became a custom home builder in the South Shore area and then on Cape Cod, where he partnered with Agricola Construction Company for many years.  

Vini’s greatest passion was spending time with his family.  Vini was a great mentor and friend to many and will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Beloved husband of Mary Barrett St. Pierre of Mashpee.  Loving father of Kym Marcella and her husband Doug of Carver, Kala Croce and her fiancé John O’Donnell of Plymouth, Becky Schoonmaker and her husband Travis of Mashpee and Jan DeAngelo and her husband Rob of Hingham.  Also, loving stepfather of Cole Barrett of CA, Peter and Max Barrett both of Abington.  Loving brother in law to Peggy St. Pierre of Berkley.  Devoted brother of the late Al and Jeannie St. Pierre.  Loving “Papa” of Kali, Dylan, Hannah, Sophie, Vienna and Brynn.  Also survived by his nieces, nephew and friends.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, July 31st from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
