Mango, Vincent (Paul) of Quincy, originally South Boston, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023. He was 86 years old.
Paul was the beloved husband of the late Theresa (Noonan) Mango. Son of the late Vincent R. Mango and the late Rose (Landry) Colman. Loving father of Dianne Bulger and husband Tom of Pembroke and Paul Mango and wife Linda of Weymouth. Adored grandfather to Thomas, Nicole, Bianca, and Isabella. Brother of Josephine and the late Peter O’Hare, David and Linda Mango, Rosemary Miller, Dianne and the late Ralph Collins, Charlene and Chuck Westerdale, and Manny and Mary Mango. In addition, he will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
After his love of family and friends, he was also dedicated to many interests including tools, painting, and even baking for others. Additionally, he loved a variation of music spanning all genres including Frank Sinatra, George Straight, and the Boston Pops. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh that will not be forgotten. He had a knack for storytelling and impressions which was thoroughly enjoyed and fondly remembered by all.
Another way he can be remembered is through Paul’s Barbershop in Wollaston which was his pride and joy. He started it in 1981 and it became a family business that is still run by his son, Paul in another location in Quincy. He thoroughly enjoyed conversations with family and friends who frequented the Barbershop. He had many customers who were there when he started and who still go there today. He enjoyed meeting customers while he and Theresa were at restaurants, shopping, etc. which always extended the visit. He had a myriad of jobs prior to owning the barbershop, but his fondest memories are from his time cutting hair and making conversation.
Paul will be remembered for his calm and gentle spirit, unconditional love, and his everlasting sense of humor.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul may be made to Norwell Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
