Vincent J. Milano

Vincent J. Milano of Mashpee, formerly of Weymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 12, 2023. He was 92 years old.

Born in Boston he was the son of the late Benedetto and Nancy (Falcetta) Milano. Educated in Boston he was a graduate of Dorchester High School where he excelled as a football and baseball player. He had also played baseball for many years in the Boston Park League and was inducted into the New England Hall of Fame for his performance there. After high school Vincent proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Korean War. Upon returning home he married the love of his life, the late Mary (Hurley) and then went on to work for many years at the Boston Herald until his retirement. Vincent was an avid sports fan. He was a 40 year member of the Weymouth Elks #2232 and also a long time member of Rockland Country Club. Vincent will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.

Beloved father of Nancy Milano-Foley and her husband Charlie of Mashpee; Vincent J. Milano Jr. and his wife Linda of Mashpee, Paul Milano and his wife Lisa of NH, Brian Milano and his wife Jennifer of NH. Dear brother of Agnes Lynch and her late husband Gus, of Abington; Lena Cummings and her husband George of Hingham and late Frank Milano and his surviving wife Anita of Quincy. Cherished “Gramps” to 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 7/25 from 8 – 10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday 7/25, prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at 1:30 PM in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
