Vegnani, Vincent A. of Quincy, age 72 died unexpectantly on August 9, 2013. Beloved father of Anthony V. Vegnani and his wife Anne of Scituate and step-father of Michele and her husband Atif Atif of Quincy. Brother of William Vegnani of Abington, Jay Vegnani of California, Rita Dudley of Florida, Mary Jo Murphy of Holbrook, Anne Vegnani of Abington and the late Larry Vegnani. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Olivia, Matthew, Sophia and Brahim. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Judy Doucette of Quincy.
Born in Quincy, Vincent grew up in Milton before settling in Quincy 50 years ago. He was self employed, involved in real estate and an agent in the shipping industry for many years, He was a member of the Quincy Elks Lodge 943 and the Abington American Legion Post 112. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Massachusetts Air National Guard in which he as was called into duty during the Berlin Crisis in Germany. Vincent was a warm and generous person who will be remembered for his outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was a great fan of his grandchildren. Most of all Vincent loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 11 AM. A private burial will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vincent’s memory may be made to the Boston VA Healthcare System, Voluntary and Recreation Service, Memorial Funds, 150 S, Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130 or Scituate Community Christmas, P.O.
