Vida A. Washburn

Washburn, Vida A. (Howe) of Braintree, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the John Scott House. She was 89.

Vida was a loving woman with a warm heart. She was full of life and anyone that met Vida could see that. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Vida was born in Brockton to the late Ernest and Laura (Crabtree) Howe. She was the doting wife to the late Richard Washburn. She was the loving mother of Diane Pollard and her husband Mike of Weymouth, Pauline Yax of Weymouth, the late Linda Mullen, the late David Robillard, and the late Nancy Verett. Vida was also the beloved sister to the late Ora Howe, the late Robert Howe, the late Ernestine Walker, and the late Pauline Mackenzie. Also survived by her dear friend James Tracey of Braintree. Loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the graveside funeral service at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton. Date and time to be announced. Donations in Vida’s name can be made to the John Scott House Activities Department.
