Johnson, Victor of Squantum, October 26, 2003. Loving husband of Judith Beck-Rochelle of Squantum and the late Betty Wanton and Zella (Clemens). Father of Terry Johnson of MN and Valerie Edwards of FL. Brother of Edward Johnson of Dorchester and the late Harry and Margaret Johnson. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 nieces. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Friday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Star of the Sea Church, Squantum at 9 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Member of Adam Height’s Mens Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and fishing and traveling. Victor was the head bartender from 1950 to 1965 and worked at the original 99 Restaurant at 99 State Street in Boston. He also worked and most of the fine restaurants in Boston.Victor served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II and received the Victory Medal, American Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon.He was a 1932 graduate of Mechanic Arts High School in Boston. Donations in memory of Mr. Johnson may be made to Shriners Burn Institute 51 Blossom Street Boston, MA 02109.
