Callahan, Veronica “Vera” (Croke) of Hingham, formerly of Quincy, Hyde Park and Dorchester, December 24, 2002. Wife of the late George T. Callahan. Loving mother of William G. & his wife Mary Ellen Callahan of NE & CA, Robert T. Callahan & his wife Martha Ennes of CA, Paul F. & his wife Patricia Callahan of Hingham and Janet Callahan Paninski & her husband Robert Paninski of Groton. Former mother in law of Helen (Dana-Bashian) Moore & Susan (Hale) Callahan. Loving grandmother of Patrick, Michael, Abigail, Heather & Jeffrey Callahan and Liam & Gregory Paninski. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Vera was a school teacher for Quincy Public Schools in the 1950’s and Boston Public Schools in the 1960’s. She loved to travel visiting her family in Germany, England, Hawaii, Canada and throughout the U.S. Vera has been a resident of Harbor House Nursing Center in Hingham.
