Vera M. Baldwin

Vera M. (Gunnerson) Baldwin of Weymouth, died May 25, 2020 at the age of 95.

She was the daughter of the late Flora (MCCollough) and Henry E. Gunnerson. Loving wife of the late GySgt John W. Baldwin, Sr. Loving mother of John W. Baldwin, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Tracy, CA; Judith A. Manter and her husband Philip of Falmouth; and James D. Baldwin of Weymouth. Loving grandmother of Daniel R. DeLuca and his wife Denise and great grandchildren Jenna and Daniel, Jr. of Carver; Priscilla Johnston and her husband Robert and great grandchildren Paige and Drake of CA; and John W. Baldwin, III “Buddy” of CA and OK. Loving sister of Jean Wotton of NJ, Stanley Gunnerson and his wife Elizabeth of NH; and Kenneth Gunnerson and his wife Beverly of NH. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who will always remember the fun times with Aunte.

She will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and ready for a good laugh. Her antics will always be held close to the hearts of those who knew her. Vera spent 20 years, as a military wife, living in North Carolina, California, Hawaii and Virginia. The family returned to their home state of Massachusetts upon military retirement of her late husband. Taking care of her family was her main concern in life. She was involved in the DAV along with her late husband. Both of them were always ready, willing and able to help anyone in need of assistance.

Vera’s family will be having a private service. 

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although we cannot gather together with Vera’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message by clicking the link above.
