Tung Man Leung of New York City and Quincy, Massachusetts passed away Monday June 20, 2011 after a three year long battle with leukemia. He was 75 years old. A proud father, amazing grandfather, loving husband, loyal friend, faithful Christian and courageous American. Borned in 1935 in mainland China, he escaped his Communist homeland almost fifty years ago by swimming to Hong Kong where he would eventually meet his beautiful wife. They moved to the United States shortly, where they settled in New York City. A retired Organic Chemistry instructor and businessman, his proudest moment in his life was his successful and daring escape to Hong Kong which he attributed to the power of God completely. His happiest moment was the birth of his son and later the births of his grandchildren. When discovered he had cancer, he was determined to fight the disease and was determined to put his life in God’s hands. He remained strong and relentless in his love for family, country and God. Amidst the long and exhausting battle with his cancer, he never gave up his love for family or faith in the Lord. He loved God and America. He loved this great nation and freedom. He leaves behind his wife Cecilia, his son Peter and his wife Beatrice and his two cherished grandsons, Jack & Luke. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, June 24 in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. Quincy from 7-9pm. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am in Wollaston Lutheran Church , 550 Hancock St. Quincy. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
