Tuey Tow Yep of Quincy, formerly of Braintree & Kwangtung, China, passed on September 26, 2006. Beloved wife of 69 years to Herbert S.Y. Yep. Loving mother of Dorothy S.M. Yep of Cambridge, Jeanette S.G. Yep of Middleton, WI, John A.W. Yep of Providence, RI and the late Sue Ling Yee. Sister of Tuey Kem Chin of Quincy, Tow Gook Gnan of China and the late Tow Fook Loy, Tow Fook Dep and Tow Sze Yen. Sister-in-law of Dr. David G. Yep of Brooklyn, NY. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON (section of Quincy), Saturday at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 5-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Mrs. Yep was born in Rangoon, Myanmar and raised in China. She was the daughter of a furniture merchant. She immigrated to the United States in 1947 and was naturalized on July 4, 1976 in Faneuil Hall, Boston. Gardening, sewing, knitting, Chinese herbal folk medicine and cooking were a few of her favorite activities. She was a founding member of the Boston Chinese Evangelical Church and also attended the First Baptist Church in Braintree.
