Conboy, Trudy L. (Arnold) of North Quincy and Marco Island, died September 3, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Donald E. Conboy. Loving mother of Roger H. Conboy of Royse City, Texas, Donald E. Conboy Jr. of Weymouth, Dianne Melanson and her husband Russell of Weymouth, and James L. Conboy and his wife Deborah of Braintree. Cherished grandmother of Derek, Laura, Kristen, Donald III, Patricia, Leigha, Devon, Aidan and Owen.
Trudy was born in Boston and lived in Dorchester before settling in North Quincy where she raised her family. Trudy and her husband Donald wintered in Marco Island Florida for many years before they became permanent winter residents after purchasing their home in Marco Island. Trudy was a former member of the Board of Directors at the Quincy Y. M.C.A. where she took pride in being a very involved member. Trudy will be remembered by her family as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She also had a special place in her heart for animals. She enjoyed family parties, watching old movies and musicals, reading and knitting. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Trudy may be made to the Quincy Animal Shelter, P.O.
