Tom Cook

Cook, Tom (Ellis) of Quincy, passed away May 18, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Francine L. (Giove). Loving father of Jennifer R. Hallett and her husband, Chad of Pembroke, and Thomas J. Cook and his wife, Kimberly, of Assonet. Brother of Janice Hebert of Greenfield, RI. and Edward Durand of Maine. Loving Papa of Brenden and Ryan Cook, and Laura Hallett. Son-in-law of Stephen Giove of Quincy. He was a resident of Quincy for over 45 years. Until his retirement, Tom was a General Supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. Tom proudly served in the Marines and enjoyed traveling abroad while in the service. In his younger years, he enjoyed archery, bowling, horseshoes and fishing as well as many other activities. He was also an avid Patriots fan and season ticket holder for many years. Being a very mechanically inclined person, Tom was able to use his gift while working for the Post Office and also to help friends and family. There seemed to be nothing he couldn’t fix! After retirement, Tom enjoyed traveling with his wife, playing suduko, reading and doing puzzles. We are all saddened by our loss but content in knowing he is with the love of his life once again. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Memorial donations may be made to the Jessie Rees Foundation- www.Jessie.org
