Timothy McCarthy

McCarthy, Timothy “Timmy” of Quincy, died September 28, 2024. 

Timmy adored his family and his faith was very important to him. He enjoyed Irish Set dancing, playing cards, and walks at Castle Island. He was a member of Local 67 as a carpenter for many years. Timmy was always there to help anyone in need. He had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him. 

Beloved husband of the late Mary McCarthy (Brosnan) of Currow, Ireland. Loving father of Paul McCarthy and his wife Janet of Hull, Maureen Ayers and her husband Bruce of Quincy, Tara Curry and her husband Sean of Milton, and Bridget McCarthy and her husband Richard of Plymouth. Cherished brother of Peggy Lynch and her late husband Sonny of Killarney, Ireland, Johnny McCarthy and his wife Margaret of Randolph, and the late Connie McCarthy and his surviving wife Marie, Dan Joe McCarthy and his surviving wife Bridie, and Patrick McCarthy. Loving Papa of Jennifer, Erin, Katie, Casey, Brendan, Jessica, Bridget, Richard, Laura, and Kelly. Great Papa of Jayden, Mya, Xavier, Lily, Noah, Brooklyn, Bella, Ethan, Weston, Tess, and Cameron. Also survived by his companion Philomena Keaney and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8 AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 9 AM. Burial in Milton Cemetery.
