Timothy J. Corkery of Hingham, died January 1, 2021 at the age of 85.

Tim was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School and Boston University. He worked for 25 years as a special education teacher for the Boston Public School System. He enjoyed writing stories and attending his grandchildren’s games and other events.

Beloved husband of Mary C. (Dever) Corkery. Loving father of Timothy O’Leary Corkery and wife Jennifer of Needham; Celia Kearney Civello and husband John of Weymouth; and Dennis Dever Corkery and wife Christine of Concord. Proud grandfather of Daniel, Timothy, Bridget, Jack, Caden, Ronan and Callan. Brother of Henry Corkery of Los Angeles, CA, Joseph Corkery of ME, James Corkery of NC, the late Marie Corkery, and the late John Corkery. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and lifetime friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. The Funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Church in Hingham on Friday at 10 AM is private (Covid), but will be livestreamed on Tim’s obituary page on Keohane.com, and the link will be available from the family afterwards. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.

Donations in memory of Timothy may be made to Saint Paul School, 18 Fearing Rd., Hingham, MA 02043.
