Timothy E. Donovan, Sr., of North Weymouth, died September 17, 2021. Timothy or “Dinny” to friends and family, grew up in Brookline and has lived in Weymouth for many years. His career as a structural engineer allowed for worldwide travel and he recently wrote a book about his life travels called “Rewarding, Enriching and Memorable It Was.” He was a member of the Whipple Senior Center and active parishioner of St. Jerome Church. Dinny enjoyed playing the guitar, chess, cribbage, fishing and hiking with his dogs. He will be deeply missed.
Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Miller) Donovan. Devoted father of Tim E. Donovan, Jr., Emily, Nora and Katie Donovan, all of North Weymouth. Loving brother of John Donovan of Newton, Bonnie Bullard of Chestnut Hill, Michael Donovan of Bedford, Nanci Donovan of Brookline and the late Robert Donovan. Best friend of Jack Lambruno and dear friend and cousin of Bob Cappucci. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).
Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Timothy may be made to Pat Roche Hospice Home, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043 or South Shore VNA, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370.
