Thomas W. Hogan

Hogan, Thomas W. of E. Bridgewater, died August 9, 2020, he was 93. Formerly of Jamacia Plain, Dedham and Weymouth.

Tom was born in Boston to the late Thomas and Catherine. He was a proud United States Navy veteran serving during WWII. Tom worked for 30 years as a Carrier for the United States Postal Service. He met Jane Hogan, the love of his life, in the 1980’s, and they were married for 31 years. He enjoyed traveling with Jane after they retired. Tom loved to tell the story of the year he turned 60, in 1987. He sold a triple decker in Jamaica Plain, retired from the post office, married Jane and bought a house in Dedham all in that year! Tom in his later years enjoyed trivia and music of the 30s, 40s and 50s at the Allerton House in Weymouth. And always ready to tell a joke to other residents and staff!

Beloved husband to the late Jane E. (Olson) Hogan. Stepfather of Michael Peters of CA, Suzanne Chapman of TX and David Peters of Switzerland. Uncle of Claire M. Williams and her husband John of Whitman and James Day and his wife Deanna of Holbrook. Step grandfather of 6. Brother of the late Marie H. Day. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 9-10:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Cremation will follow.
