He was born to Rose (Kelly) and Peter Briggette in Boston. Thomas graduated from Hyde Park High School and went on to earn his associates degree from Massachusetts Trade Shop School. After school he went on to open his own business, Briggette Construction Supply Co.
Thomas greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family, especially his grandchildren. He always looked forward to the infamous Briggette Family Shanghai Rummy tournaments. Thomas played the drums in the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. In his free time, he enjoyed trips to Wollaston beach to soak in the sun, playing his numbers, sour pickles (especially ones from Patty’s Pantry), spending time with his two cats Oscar and Sophie and watching the weather. He was even dubbed the family “weatherman.”
Beloved husband of 36 years to Maureen P. (Young). Father of Kelly Ann DiRienzo and her husband John of Arlington, Thomas F. Briggette and his wife Annette of GA. Stepfather to Sheila Handrahan and her husband Scott of Hanover and John C. Sudduth, Jr. and his wife Courtney of Norwell. Brother to Mary Jane McNamara of Quincy, Roseanne Long of North Weymouth, Frances Carrignan and her husband Steve of Falmouth, and Philip Briggette of Falmouth. Uncle Tommy to many nieces and nephews. Cherished Grandpa and Papa Tom to 9 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his siblings: Peter Briggette, Kevin M. Briggette, Blair Briggette and Sheila A. Briggette.
