Thomas Richard Delaney of Quincy MA, formerly of Belmont MA, died suddenly on March 8, 2022 at the age of 62.
Thomas was born on July 10, 1959 to the late William and Mary (King). Thomas graduated from Belmont High School, Northeastern University and Johnson and Wales where he earned a degree in Culinary Arts. After graduating, he worked for the MBTA for 23 years and was currently employed for the City of Quincy. In 1989 he married Jacqueline Hurley and they moved to Quincy to raise their family. He was an exemplary husband and father, during the day he cared for the kids and the home and at nights heading to work. Always making sure that his wife came home to a hot, beautifully prepared meal. Thomas loved to cook and host family and friends at his pool. He was truly selfless and his generosity will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him.
The beloved husband of 32 years to Jacqueline (Hurley). Devoted father to Christopher and Lindsay and his Westie Winston. Loving brother to Nancy Delaney of Malden, William Delaney and his wife Kathryn of Malden, and James Delaney and his wife Amanda of Mansfield, OH. Predeceased by his sister Linda (Delaney) Moore. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, March 15, from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Brigid of Kildare Church, at 11 AM. Cremation will follow.
