Thomas P. O’Brien of Braintree, formerly of Weymouth, died September 6, 2015.
Tom was a self taught artist and tattoo artist. He enjoyed fishing, working with his hands, and was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Bruins. He was the descendant of Twighlight Kelley, originator of the Boston Red Sox night games and a member of the Red Sox Hall of Fame in South Boston. Tom loved his daughters most of all and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Loving son of Agnes (Kelley) O’Brien of East Weymouth and the late Paul O’Brien. Cherished father of Arrian and Alyssa O’Brien of Weymouth. Loving brother of Cheryl O’Brien and her partner Steve White of Whitman, Scott O’Brien and his partner Linda Ladik of Weymouth, and Michelle Strickland of Abington. Uncle to Autumn, William, and Abigail Strickland. Also survived by friends and family, including Christine Brennan-O’Brien and Jennifer Picard.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) A funeral home service will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
The family requests that no flowers be sent to the services, instead a donation made in Tom’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
