Thomas P. Cronin

Thomas Patrick Cronin, 92 of Quincy, passed away after a brief illness on February 27, 2015.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years Pauline (Rooney) Cronin and survived by his five devoted children, Stephen Cronin and his wife Karen of Rockland, Paula Beasley and her husband Fred of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Mary Fitzgerald of Braintree, Lisa Cronin Smith and her husband Tim of Scituate and Kathleen Cronin-Varroso and her husband Bill of Weymouth. Also survived by five grandchildren, Sean Cronin and his wife Kim of Loveland, Colorado, Jeff Cronin and his wife Laura of Hanson, Caitlin Ferrero and her husband Joe of Beverly, Peter Smith of Hanover and Anna Smith of Scituate in addition to five great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr Cronin grew up in Portland, Maine and West Roxbury, Mass.

He was employed for over forty years by the Barnstead Still and Sterilizer Company in West Roxbury and served in the U.S Army during World War II. The Cronin family would like to gratefully acknowledge the kind and professional care provided in his last months by the staff at the Rice Eventide Home in Quincy, Mass.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home , 21 Emerald Street, Hingham ( Off Central St.)  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9am prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy Wednesday at 10am. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.
