Thomas M. Payne

Payne, Thomas M. of Yarmouth Port passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on August 3, 2017 .

Tom, originally of Mission Hill married Barbara MacDonald of Jamaica Plain. They raised 4 daughters in Canton, and retired to Yarmouth Port on the Cape for the past 14 years. Prior to retirement, Tom was a longtime HVAC Technician in Boston. He is a proud member of the Pipefitters Union Local 537 and a member of the Yarmouth Senior Center. Tom was an avid Boston sports fan, enjoyed following current events and politics.  He also enjoyed relaxing at home, visiting the beach, and watching birds and nature at his house in Yarmouth Port. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Beloved husband to Barbara J. Payne (MacDonald) for 56 years. Cherished father to Robin Ganley and her husband David of Mansfield, Karen Murphy and her husband Michael of New London, NH, Susan Crugnale and her partner Glenn Barresi of Mansfield, and Wendy Piccolo and her husband Joseph of Foxboro. Caring “Papa” to Jillian, Molly, Emma, Mick, Sophia, Thomas and Louis. Dear brother to Raymond, Robert, David, Paul, Arlene, Geraldine, Carol, Sandra, Linda, Deborah, and the late Leslie and Joan. Brother-in-law to Robert, Joseph, David, Dianne, and the late Bernadette. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
