Thomas J. Heffernan, Sr.

Heffernan, Thomas J., Sr. of  Braintree, died October 23, 2015.

The beloved husband of the late Mary A. “Bunny” (Quinn) Heffernan. Loving father of  Donna Steinbach and her husband Russell of Dorchester, Thomas J. Heffernan,Jr. of Weymouth, William “Bill Heffernan and his wife Christine of East Weymouth and Kevin Heffernan of Braintree, Brother of Joseph Heffernan of Centerville and the late John “Jack” Heffernan. Tom is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

A member of the North Quincy, Knights of Columbus, he also enjoyed golfing. Tom and his late wife Mary were active in the Cursillo Movement in the Holy Cross Retreat House at Stonehill College, where they ran retreats for the Matt Talbot Program. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family. He will be sadly missed. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 AM  prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy on Tuesday at 10:30 AM.  Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Roxbury,
