Buchan, Sr., Thomas J. of Quincy September 4, 2005. Son of the late Walter and Mary Buchan. Beloved husband of 63 years of Dorothy (Roberts) Buchan of Quincy. Devoted father of Jane M. Kelcourse of Medfield, Mary A. Kapolis of Holbrook, James J. Buchan of NH, and the late Thomas J. Buchan, Jr. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Thursday at 8:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Thomas J. Buchan, Sr. may be made to Hough’s Neck Community Council Scholarship Fund, 1193 Sea St., Quincy, MA 02169. Tom was a past Commodore of the Circle Yacht Club in Quincy, past Vice Commodore of the Quincy Yacht Club, and a life member of the Commodore Club of America. He was an usher at Most Blessed Sacrament Church and a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader. He served in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the Bryant Post in Quincy. He was also a member of the Shrine Yacht Club in Gloucester, and the South Shore Shrine Club in Weymouth. As a Mason, he was a member of the Aleppo’s Shriners and the Constellation Lodge A.F. & A.M. Tom loved the water, dancing, and bowling. He above all adored his family and cherished his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
