Thomas F. Yarrow

Yarrow, Thomas F. of Hingham, died May 7, 2015.

 He had a warm heart, great sense of adventure and curious mind. The sounds and smells of the ocean invigorated him.  He enjoyed fishing, boating and beach time on Cape Cod and Puerto Rico.  A life long learner and history buff, he circled the globe and was always game to try new things.  Tom most loved time spent with family, and he and Marie shared a great love and respect for one another; values that will live on.  He was generous in spirit and always made time to listen and offer sound counsel.  He was adored by his grandchildren for his encouragement of them and his fun-loving nature.  Tom’s optimism, can-do attitude and pragmatic perspective will be missed dearly.

The beloved husband of 52 years to Marie (McCarthy) Yarrow of Hingham. Father of Diane Yarrow of Boston, Joanne Buechel  and her children  Jennifer, James, John and Sarah Buechel of Marshfield  and son in law Dr. James Buechel, Kathleen Yarrow-Thrun and her husband Jonathan and their children Lillian and Luke of Hingham. Brother of the late Patricia Coughlin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in Hingham Center Cemetery. Donations in memory of Thomas may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Melanoma Research,  P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
