Harrington, Thomas F., 99 years of age, of Quincy, born and raised in Cambridge, February 17, 2008. Husband of the late Eleanor (Whalen) Harrington. Loving father of Donna H. Pound of Squantum. Father in law of the late Donald J. Pound, Sr. Brother of Mary E. Merrill of FL, Ann E. Donahue of NH, Robert E. Harrington of Billerica and the late D. Edward Harrington, Albert Harrington, George Harrington, Maurice Harrington, Jr., William Harrington, J. Gordon Harrington, Margaret Calvert, Helen Maniscolca, Joseph Harrington and Bernard Stephanoskas. Devoted grandfather of Donald J. Pound, Jr. of Quincy, Thomas H. Pound of Haverhill, Robert M. Pound of Quincy and their wives Kate, Dawnmarie, and MaryBeth. Great grandfather of Andrea, Donald, III, Ryan, William, Seamus, and Conor. Mr. Harrington was an owner and operator of Shell gas stations, first in Jackson Square in Roxbury and then in Weymouth, for over 50 years. A devoted family man, he enjoyed woodworking, boating and was an avid Red Sox fan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mr. Harrington may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 1309 Beacon St., Brookline, MA 02446-9918.
