Thomas E. Thompkins

Thompkins, Thomas E. of Weymouth, died February 19, 2019. Tom was born and raised in South Carolina, son of the late Eddie and Miss Beulah Thompkins. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, and met his wife Rose in Springfield, Massachusetts where he later moved, lived and worked at Yale-Genton in West Springfield. After the loss of his wife Rose, he met Theresa who he married and they lived most of their years in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, where he was a sales manager of local automobile dealerships. Tom loved history, college football and treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Tom was the beloved husband of the late Theresa L. Thompkins, loving father of Thomas E. Thompkins Jr. and his wife Leslie of Wayland, and step-father of Michael Demersky and his wife Amanda of Wayland, Ed Demersky of Plymouth and cherished grandfather of Nicholas and Dylan Thompkins and Jack and Anna Demersky, brother of Irene Cohen of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and brother of the late Ralph, Frank “Bubba”, Gordon, Freeman and Jerry Thompkins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday, February 25 at 9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) and a service will follow on Monday at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. A burial will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery in Chicopee. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Tom.
