Sanborn, Thomas E. of Quincy, entered into rest on March 30, 2010. Beloved husband of Dorothy L.(Cotter) Sanborn of Quincy. Devoted father of Teresa A. Sanborn-Lovell and her husband Richard of Quincy. Loving brother of Rita Martinson of Abington, Irene Young of Holbrook and the late Mary Casper and Grace Costa. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Quincy. He worked as a Quincy Firefighter for 35 years, retiring in 1983 and also as a Boston Postal Worker for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WW II. Tommy was an avid Red Sox fan and also enjoyed boating and tinkering around the house. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Thomas may be made to the Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or the Quincy Fireman’s Relief Fund, 40 Quincy Ave., Quincy, MA 02169.
