Thomas E. Malone, Sr of Canton, MA formerly of Quncy, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his home. He was 91 years young. Thomas was born on March 23rd in Boston. He graduated from Boston College High School and attended Boston College. In May 1961 he married the love of his life, Ann Marie (Marque) of Hyde Park. Together they had a home in Quincy and raised four children.
Thomas worked as an insurance underwriter for many years with Shelby Mutual. Thomas was an avid Boston sports team fan and he especially loved following the Red Sox. He played senior league softball for many years, enjoyed walks at Nantasket Beach and Castle Island. In his later years he stayed active dancing to the big band classics and taking daily walks. His greatest joy was spending time with his family who will miss him dearly.
Thomas is survived by son Thomas E. Malone, Jr and Lisa of Milton, DE, daughter Eileen Malone of Weymouth MA, son Michael J. Malone and Lise, their sons Luke and Jack of Bridgewater, MA, and Brian J. Malone and Colleen, their sons, Daniel and Patrick of Wheaton,IL.
Thomas was predeceased by his parents George L. and Mary Malone, brother George Malone and his devoted wife of 43 years Ann Malone.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street Quincy, on Monday April 17th from 4-7pm.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 18 at 9:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Ann Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy,Tuesday April 18th at 10:30 am.
Interment Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Thomas’s memory may be made to Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472 or www.perkins.org.
