Maher, Thomas E. of Quincy, died suddenly on December 19, 2007 at the age of 60 . The beloved and devoted son of Dorothy (Peecha) Maher of Quincy and the late Leo T. Maher, Sr. Brother of Dorothy Grindstaff of Halifax,Sandra Wardinsky of South Boston, Edward Peecha of West Palm Beach, FL and the late Leo T. Maher, Jr.. Thomas is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Thomas worked as a custodian at the Bernazzani School for many years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and was an active member at the American Legion Post #380 in Hough’s Neck. He will be remembered for his long time devotion and care for his mother. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1000 Sea Street, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Tom may be made to Hough’s Neck – American Legion Post # 380, 1116 Sea Street, Quincy, MA 02169 or to the Bernazzani School, 701 Furnace Brook Parkway, Quincy, MA 02169..
