Sullivan, Thomas C. of Quincy January 16, 2007. Husband of the late Irene “Wally” Sullivan. Devoted father of Ann and her husband Dr. Henry Listenik of Webster, and Jean and her husband John “Jack” Whalen of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Mark Listenik, Veronica Listenik, Michael Whalen and 2 great grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Dear close friend of Lois “Lynn” Lynde of Ft. Myers, FL. Also survived by several 1st cousins in Coatesville, PA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Tuesday at 6:30 PM. Visitation prior to Service from 4 – 6:30 PM. Burial in St. Catherines Catholic Cemetery, in PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thomas C. Sullivan may be made to Alzheimers Association, MA Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Thomas was born and raised in Quarryville, PA. He attended and graduated from Penn State. Thomas’ father Frank was the Mayor of Quarryville, PA in the 1920’s. Thomas worked for the PA State Highway Dept and then came to work at the Quincy Shipyard during WWII. After the war Thomas worked for the Massachusetts Federal Highway Dept. in Boston for over 30 years, retiring in 1977. Thomas enjoyed building grandfather clocks and antiques. He was a huge baseball fan and enjoyed playing golf in his younger years and watching it in his later years. Thomas spent many years spending 1/2 of the year in Punta Gorda, FL and the other 1/2 here in Quincy, most of the summers he spent in Mashpee on Cape Cod. Tom was a founder and trustee of the River Haven Estates Mobile Home Park in Punta Gorda, FL. and an active member of the Alumni Association at Penn State. Above all Tom’s first priority was his family.
