Thomas A. Harris

Harris, Thomas A. of Quincy, age 94, died October 17, 2015. 

Son of the late Samuel J. and Sabina F. Harris. Beloved husband of the late Mary G. (McCarthy) Harris.  Loving father of William R. Harnish of NC, Thomas A. Harris, Jr. of NC, and Holly A. Horton of Pembroke.  Brother of the late Gerard J. Harris and Irene T. Koch.  Also survived by 9 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Thomas was a family man and loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed sailing, reading, caring for animals, and was an avid sports fan.  He worked for the United States Postal Service as a survey officer for 27 years. He also was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard.  He will be remembered as gentleman who was kind to both people and animals.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.  Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
