Theresa L. Thompkins

Thompkins, Theresa L. (Augeri) of Weymouth, died September 23, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Theresa grew up in Chicopee and lived in Springfield for many years before moving to Weymouth. She worked as an information operator for the New England Telephone Company for many years. She graduated from Westfield State College and went on to work as an elementary teacher for the Springfield School Department. Theresa was an active parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Parish. Her family was the essence of her happiness and she could often be found cooking for family and friends or enjoying the company of her grandchildren. 

Beloved wife of Thomas E. Thompkins of Weymouth. Devoted mother of Michael Demersky and his wife Amanda of Wayland, Eddie Demersky of Plymouth and step-son Thomas E. Thompkins, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Wayland. Loving sister of the late Jeanne. Cherished “Grammy” of Jack and Anna Demersky and Nicholas and Dylan Thompkins. Also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Chicopee at 2 PM.
