Theresa Cornelia Fall passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, at the age of 96 in Brookline, Massachusetts. Born on November 27, 1927, in South Boston, Theresa devoted over 35 years of her career to the Boston Globe. She retired in 1988 as the Executive Secretary to editor Bill Taylor and Head of the Cashier's Office. Post-retirement, she relocated to Monson, MA, to reside with her sister and brother-in-law, where she played a significant role in caring for her great nephews.
A devout Catholic, Theresa was an active member of the Saint Mary of Assumption Parish in Brookline for the last eight years of her life. Her faith and commitment to her church community were profound and unwavering.
Theresa was also known for her creative talents as a knitter, often crafting beautiful Afghans and scarves for her loved ones. Additionally, she was a skilled card player who enjoyed casino trips with her girlfriends, sharing many joyful moments.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial will immediately. follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
