Theresa E. Collins

Theresa E. (Sheehy) Collins of East Bridgewater, died August 27, 2013. Theresa grew up in Boston and she moved to East Braintree where she and husband James Collins raised their family.   Theresa worked as a sales associate for Zayres, Ames and the Warner Brothers Studio Store, where she was affectionately known as “Terry” by the many friends she made. All remember the zest she had for interacting with people.  As an active parishioner of Sacred Heart in Weymouth, she was a longtime member of the choir and participated in many community events. She especially enjoyed participating in musical shows with her husband. In addition to singing she also enjoyed reading, socializing with friends, sewing, and solving puzzles. Ten years ago she moved to East Bridgewater. She will be remembered by all for her kind and warm-hearted generosity.

She was the beloved wife of the late James Patrick Collins; devoted and supportive mother of Sheila Collins and her husband William Wetsel of NC, James Collins and his wife Lisa of East Bridgewater and Debra Turgeon and her husband Michael of Randolph. She cherished her grandchildren James and Daniel Collins and Autumn Wetsel for whom she was “Grammy”. Loving sister of the late Mary Emery, Catherine Spracklin and James Sheehy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
