Theana H. Evangelides

Evangelides, Theana H. (Mavroudis) of Hingham, January 26, 2008. Beloved wife of Ted Evangelides of Hingham. Loving sister of the late Eugene Mavroudis. Sister in law of Marylou Kendall of NY and Dorothy Cabarle of FL. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Theana was an active volunteer with the Hingham Senior Center with her husband Ted. They have been married for 49 years. Mrs. Evangelides was born and raised in Manhattan, NY. She worked for five years as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Bank of Athens in New York. She later worked as Senior Administrative Assistant at CBS Television in New York. Theana was a member of Les Dames des Amis d’Escoffier, a group founded in 1959 to promote the understanding, appreciation, and knowledge of food, wine, and the arts of the table. This group has awarded many scholarships to deserving women. Mrs. Evangelides was outgoing, friendly and outspoken in a very positive way. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, Braintree Thursday at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 3-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
