Hornbrook, Teresa V. (Terry Harkins) of Quincy, passed away August 7, 2011. Beloved wife of the late John Hornbrook. Loving mother of Joan Radey and her husband, Dante, of Brockton, Mike Hornbrook and his wife, Carol Veasey of Milton, and Rob Hornbrook and his wife, Laura of Quincy and the late Irene Hornbrook and Richard “Carrot’ Hornbrook. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and many relatives. Teresa was born in Brighton and had lived in Quincy for the past forty years. Teresa was retired from the National Park Service and worked at The Adams Houses, The Visitor Center, and The United First Parish Church. She also worked at the J.F.K. birthplace in Brookline. Every spring she would host Irish students in her home and was very proud of her dual citizenship with Ireland. She traveled extensively having visited ten countries. Teresa was a member of the Quincy Historical Society and the JFK Library foundation and also devoted many hours of volunteer work to charitible organizations on the South Shore. P.S. She never had a dishwasher. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Saint Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Teresa may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
