Teresa M. Gillespie

Gillespie, Teresa M. (Shapley) of Hingham, formerly of Mattapan, died peacefully on the Cape, surrounded by her family, September 16, 2015.

She spent many wonderful summers on the Cape where she enjoyed the ocean, gardening, and bird watching.  She will always be remembered for her kind, caring, and honest heart. 

Beloved wife of the late William R. Gillespie.  Devoted daughter of the late Samuel Shapley and Margaret (Coleman) Shapley.  Loving mother of Beth Bongiorno and her husband Richard of Hingham, Mark F. Gillespie and his wife Mary of Jamaica Plain, Mary T. Halpin and her husband Thomas of Hingham, Matthew J. Gillespie of Hingham, Joan M. Gillespie of Hull, and Katherine A. Bermejo of Hull. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:45 AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11:30 AM.  Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
